Our Staff We are extremely proud of our excellent staff of teachers and administrators! Our staff is part of the consistent care provided by Kids ‘R’ Kids.
Becky Smith, our Director, has been with us since we opened in 1996. She began as our School-Age Program Coordinator and has worked her way up in the company to her current position as Director. She is a very important part of our program, and, as a mother of two, she understands your needs and is available to you for whatever your needs may be.
Our current Lead Teachers have at a minimum the Early Childhood Credential and are working toward an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. All newly hired Lead Teachers are required to already have either an Associate or Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood or a realated field. Experience in a licensed Early Childhood Program is also required.
Our Assistant Teachers are also required to have a minimum of the Early Childhood Credential as well as experience working with children.
We require all of our staff to be certified in CPR and 1st Aid, and all Infant Staff are certified in SIDS training. School-Age teachers are all certified in BSAC (Basic School-Age Care) training. All staff are required to obtain on-going training throughout the year, and they are fortunate to have all of the training, as well as the time it takes to receive this training, paid for by our company. Also, any staff willing to further their education in Early Childhood will have that education paid for by Kids `R` Kids. This just goes to show how important it is for us to have an educated staff. |
